About the Program

As part of its mission to eradicate human trafficking, Polaris operates the National Human Trafficking Hotline and BeFree Textline.  The National Human Trafficking Hotline and BeFree Textline work to improve the systemic response to protect victims of human trafficking in the United States. The program is designed to provide human trafficking victims and survivors with access to critical support and services to get help and stay safe, and to equip the anti-trafficking community with the tools to effectively combat all forms of human trafficking.


About the Opportunity

As a member of Polaris’s National Hotlines team, the Case Analyst, Corporate Engagement Liaison will serve as a subject matter expert on human trafficking and exploitation and will be responsible for the management, analysis, and coordination of response to cases of human trafficking and exploitation and victim service needs received through the National Hotline and BeFree Textline. S/he will also liaise with Polaris’s corporate partnerships and collaborate with the Corporate Engagement team, —sharing significant data trends and outcomes to be included in required reports, as well as coordinating travel for victims and survivors requesting assistance through the National Hotline or BeFree Textline.


The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be highly organized with strong attention to detail. This person is able to confidently work individually and make independent decisions quickly on sensitive and complex topics. S/he is also a strong team player with a talent for coordinating across diverse stakeholders to reach solutions.  Most importantly, this person will be passionate about fighting human trafficking and will have the demonstrated ability of working with and supporting survivors of trafficking and/or other forms of trauma.  


Specific Responsibilities

  • Review and manage a caseload of human trafficking and exploitation tips, crisis cases, and requests for victim assistance received through the National Hotline and BeFree Textline;

  • Conduct appropriate case follow-up, including coordinating with law enforcement, service providers, government agencies, and other key stakeholders;

  • Manage data collection, tracking, and reporting needs for corporate partnerships;

  • Collect outputs and outcomes that demonstrate impact of corporate partnership programs used on the National Hotline and BeFree Textline;

  • Act as liaison between Polaris’s National Hotlines Program and Corporate Engagement teams – providing a complete feedback loop between teams and ultimately corporate partners;  

  • Develop and maintain the National Hotline and BeFree Textline corporate engagement topical protocols to ensure consistent, thorough, and survivor-centered case response when incorporating corporate partnership benefits;

  • Facilitate transportation needs – including booking airfare and hotel rooms – for survivors requesting assistance through the National Hotline and BeFree Textline; and

  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or commensurate experience;

  • Minimum three years professional experience;

  • Ability to work well under pressure, and maintain composure during stressful situations;

  • Competence and sensitivity working with survivors of trauma from diverse backgrounds;

  • Experience with relationship building and fostering collaboration among diverse actors, including law enforcement, victim advocates, social service providers, corporations, and government agencies;

  • Proficiency working with databases and ability to quickly learn and utilize diverse technologies and systems;

  • Flexibility and ability to multi-task, easily moving between multiple projects and priorities;

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and writing skills; and

  • Willingness to work a non-traditional schedule which will include evenings and/or weekends and holidays.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on a victim-centered or resource-oriented hotline;

  • Demonstrated experience/volunteer work in human trafficking; and

  • Proficiency in Spanish strongly preferred.
