We want to thank you for your commitment to ending modern slavery. Due in part to your help, Polaris has been able to strengthen the safety net for survivors of human trafficking through collaborations with service providers, government agencies, law enforcement, and more. Polaris is also mining the data collected by the National Human Trafficking hotline to reveal how trafficking actually works. We’ve identified 25 different types of trafficking in the U.S. outlined in a groundbreaking report.
Our holistic, victim-centered approach to disrupting trafficking networks is demonstrated in our efforts to protect victims caught up in one specific type: trafficking in illicit massage businesses. By working with legitimate massage industry representatives and community members, we’re helping to end the victimization of tens of thousands of women in communities all across the United States. In order to best stop trafficking and restore freedom to survivors, we first need to understand the distinct types of trafficking that exist in our communities. How much to do you know about the second most prevalent type of trafficking reported to the National Human Trafficking Hotline?
