Meghan has over seven years of professional experience in strategic program management, monitoring and evaluation, and adult training. Prior to joining Polaris, Ms. Carton worked in various roles to convince policymakers and program leaders that thoughtful data analysis can help improve accountability, strengthen programs, and slowly increase efficiency. Ms. Carton began her career at the US Agency for International Development (USAID) where she worked primarily on human rights programs, including issues on gender rights and human trafficking in Central Asia. She transitioned to domestic education in 2012 and applied her skills in performance management and monitoring and evaluation to the issues of teacher recruitment and school funding with Washington, D.C. Public Schools.
Ms. Carton holds a BA in International Relations from American University and a Master's in Public Policy from Georgetown University.
