Muftiah McCartin is an attorney and co-chair of the global public policy and government affairs practice group of Covington & Burling, which is ranked as one of the best lobby practices in the nation by the National Law Journal/Legal Times and by Chambers USA, and has been ranked among the top five law firms in their Influence50 Survey. Muftiah has been named a top lobbyist by The Hill over the last three years, and she was recently highlighted in Insider as one of the leading budget reconciliation whisperers with expertise in the complicated legislative maneuver.
Her public service career in the U.S. House of Representatives includes senior positions with the Rules Committee, the Appropriations Committee, and the Parliamentarian’s Office. Muftiah represents a number of Fortune 500 companies across a range of sectors, and she also represents pro bono a number of leading organizations dedicated to gun safety, women’s health, legal representation for immigrants, and the establishment of green banks.
