This report gathers information on labor trafficking cases in Mexico and provides a structure for its analysis. Polaris reports on the social composition of labor trafficking victims and the characteristics of the populations that are most at risk. In this report, Polaris also provides information about how traffickers recruit, transfer and exploit workers, as well as the areas they operate in, the routes they use, and sectors and industries where trafficking is present. The report also looks at some of the major challenges and obstacles in dealing with labor trafficking in Mexico and suggests ways to develop comprehensive approaches to contribute to its eradication.
Este reporte recopila información sobre casos de trata de personas en México y provee una estructura inicial para analizar dichos datos. Además, Polaris informa sobre la composición social de las víctimas de trata de personas y las características de las poblaciones que están más en riesgo. En este reporte, Polaris provee información sobre cómo se realiza el proceso de reclutamiento, la transferencia y la explotación de trabajadores, así como también las áreas en las que operan los reclutadores, las rutas que usan y los sectores e industrias en las que se presenta la trata. Este informe también analiza algunos de los principales obstáculos y desafíos en el manejo de la trata laboral en México, y sugiere formas de desarrollar enfoques integrales para contribuir a su erradicación.
