WASHINGTON, D.C. (Aug. 28, 2018)—Polaris issued the following statement today after the U.S. Senate approved the nomination of Lynn A. Johnson, as Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services for the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) in a bipartisan vote.
Joe Huang-Racalto, Polaris’s Director of Government Relations, said:
“Our nation will be better off because of the Senate’s vote today, which puts a strong hand at the helm of the organizations and programs entrusted with caring for our most important assets—our children and their families. The Administration for Children and Families is a key piece of our government’s response to human trafficking. Assistant Secretary Johnson has the right background and experience for this position and we look forward to working with her and her team to ensure all our children can grow up and thrive in freedom.”
