How We Do It
Human Trafficking 101
Compassionate, committed individuals and communities like yours are the most powerful resource there is to prevent and reduce human trafficking. But to leverage your power, you need the best possible information. Polaris’s interactive, online training program includes six short modules, as well as survivor stories, and quizzes designed to deepen your understanding of the issue. Take our free introductory course, Human Trafficking 101, to learn what human trafficking really is, how it happens, and how you can be part of the solution.
Policy and Legislation
Polaris works with policymakers across all 50 states and in the federal government to create policy that is data-driven, survivor-centered, and geared toward long-term solutions. We focus on legislation that restores justice to trafficking survivors, holds traffickers accountable, and dismantles the systems that enable trafficking to happen in the first place.
Take Action
A strong anti-human trafficking movement needs all kinds of people- including you! You can use your voice to show support for victims and survivors and effective policy solutions. Our Take Action opportunities allow you to write directly to your elected officials about issues like restoring justice for survivors, worker protections, and hotline confidentiality.
Social Media Campaigns
Raising awareness about human trafficking is key to preventing it. Our social media campaigns and toolkits are designed to combat misinformation and provide accurate language to talk about human trafficking. Help us spread the word by sharing our graphics and written key messages with your networks.
