Nancy McGuire Choi is a social sector executive with 15 years of experience in nonprofit management, technology innovation and international development. Nancy specializes in building the teams, systems, and business models to take organizations to their next level of impact and development.
Nancy currently serves as Interim Chief Executive Officer. Nancy previously served for two years as Chief Operating Officer, leading Polaris’s strategy and day-to-day operations, and overseeing the National Human Trafficking Hotline, technology, operations, and global teams.
Before joining Polaris, Nancy served as Chief Operating Officer at Development Gateway, an international non-profit that creates digital tools to support data-driven decision-making in international development. At Development Gateway she spent over a decade creating, professionalizing and scaling global technology and advisory solutions, including growing the organization’s flagship aid management program from a one-country start-up to a multi-year technology and institutional strengthening program in 25+ countries. She also served as Co-Executive Director of AidData, now a research lab at The College of William and Mary, overseeing global field operations and geospatial technology innovations to improve the targeting of foreign aid.
Previously, Nancy monitored and responded to natural disasters and humanitarian emergencies around the globe for USAID’s Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance. She holds an MS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a BA in Anthropology from Harvard University.
